Every window gives wide views of the quiet desert landscape.
The open-plan guest areas are spacious and comfortable, with a large lounge, a small library, a friendly bar, and a dining room with a fireplace that helps keep guests warm during cool desert nights.
The lodge sits on a rocky area with a wide veranda that wraps around the building and gives open views of the desert. Below the veranda is a simple terrace that offers shade near a clear swimming pool.

There are 26 thatched huts for guests. Inside, the chalets are nicely furnished with dark wooden riempie furniture and cream-colored sheets, adding to their simple and classic style. Ceiling fans help to cool the rooms in the desert heat.
Each chalet has a covered veranda with views of the Rotterkaum Mountains and a private bathroom.
The main lodge includes a dining room with a fireplace, a lounge, a library, and a bar. The building opens onto a large wraparound veranda with views of the grasslands, sand dunes, and mountains.
The Ride at Sunset
After enjoying coffee and afternoon tea on the lodge terrace, guests are taken to the stables. The ride begins once the horses and riders are ready. Riders follow a trail up the mountain, through old water paths, and across the open plains.
At the top, a friendly barman offers drinks and snacks. Guests enjoy gin and tonics while watching another peaceful desert sunset, then ride slowly back to the stables.
