With early access to the famous Sossusvlei dunes and the Namib Desert, Sesriem Oshana Campsite offers a special camping experience inside Namib Naukluft Park in Sesriem. It is located between the Namibia Wildlife Resort (NWR) Sesriem Campsite and the park entrance gate.
The campsite has nice views of the Namib Desert and nearby mountains. It is one of only two campsites at Sossusvlei inside the park.
Staying inside the park gives you the benefit of early access to the dunes. While other visitors are still waiting at the gate, you can already enjoy the red sand dunes and desert scenery at your own pace.
It is best to get your permit the day before you plan to visit. The NWR office is only 600 meters from the campsite, so it is easy to get your permit. Once you have it, you are free to explore Sossusvlei and the red dunes. Take this chance to enjoy the land and create lasting memories.
There are ten separate campsites. Each one has a kitchenette, BBQ area, and private bathroom, making your stay comfortable. The campsite is self-catering, but you also have access to Sesriem’s restaurant, bar, shop, and swimming pool.
For those looking for activities, the campsite offers several options. You can explore the desert through quad biking, hiking trails, hot air balloon rides, guided game drives, scenic drives, and flights.
All campsites have electricity, but there is no Wi-Fi at Sesriem Oshana. This campsite is known for giving visitors a mix of simple comfort and adventure in the heart of the Namib Desert.
