When the lodge first opened in 2008, it was built to welcome small groups of visitors from around the world. Only 11 luxury chalets were built, spaced far apart to give guests privacy in this peaceful setting.
The lodge is family-owned and managed by Thomas and Henreza Becker, who are passionate about offering professional and friendly service. Together with Henreza, skilled and passionate chefs prepare tasty international and local dishes. Our servers are kind, friendly, and always ready to help with your needs.
Activities
While living and working in this beautiful place, we noticed that most travelers do not receive enough information about the Sossusvlei area before they arrive.
So, we decided to share our love and knowledge of the special Namib Desert with our guests. We invite them to join us for a simple and memorable experience to discover the desert’s secrets.
Our aim is to offer a special “off-the-beaten-track” experience in nature. We focus on places that are not often mentioned in travel guides, especially now that the Sossusvlei area receives many visitors.
After breakfast, you leave the lodge in our 4×4 safari vehicle before sunrise with our experienced guide. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful views, including the red sand dunes to the west.
This makes it possible to enjoy colorful sunsets almost every day of the year.
We offer a sunset drive, taking guests to a quiet hill where they can enjoy the view in peace.
Guests enjoy a private experience, left alone in a romantic spot without any worries.
A table, tablecloth, chairs, simple decorations, and a chandelier are set up to create a warm and cozy feeling after the sun sets. We serve classic sundowner drinks and freshly made snacks.
For honeymoon guests, we offer a bottle of fine South African sparkling wine as a free gift.
