Agama Lodge, located on the quiet valley floor, invites you to enjoy the wide views of the Naukluft Mountains, which rise to the east. This lodge offers a special experience with its good facilities and peaceful setting along a dry riverbed.
The lodge has been improved to offer more comfort, now with cozy, simple cabins that have air conditioning. The chalets have private rooftops designed to give guests a unique experience of sleeping under the starry Namib sky.
From this spot, guests can enjoy the beautiful light at the end of each desert day and the view of the Naukluft Mountains at sunrise.
The terrace restaurant is a great place to eat, offering tasty meals made with locally grown vegetables, carefully prepared and proudly served.
The large red dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei are waiting to be explored, and the nearby mountains invite visitors to go hiking or take a drive.
Built along the upper banks of the “Diep Rivier,” Agama Lodge has 20 comfortable chalets—10 standard and 10 deluxe.
The standard chalets include two comfortable three-quarter beds and air conditioning, along with other simple features. They also come with two extra blankets for cold nights, a portable lamp for emergencies, and a strong desk fan for better air flow.
The bathroom is large and includes a big shower. Each chalet has a solid rooftop deck, perfect for sleeping under the stars or enjoying the raised view.
The deluxe chalets are larger, air-conditioned, and furnished with simple but warm decor and local design touches. Inside, there is a wardrobe for storage, a neat desk, and a soft chair. The marble bathroom has a rain-head shower and a separate toilet.
Every deluxe chalet gives guests a quiet place to relax, with a ground-floor patio that includes shaded seating and beautiful views of the Namib Naukluft Mountains.
The most special part is the private rooftop sky terrace on each chalet. With the Milky Way above, guests can enjoy a peaceful outdoor night under the stars.
