The Desert Homestead Outpost offers wide views of the Namib Desert from its location in a broad grassy valley, surrounded by the Nubib, Tsaris, and Naukluft Mountains.
The 20 large thatched stone cottages at this peaceful lodge are arranged in a long row and connected by sandy paths. Each ensuite chalet has its own veranda facing the open plains and is simply decorated in natural colors.
Guests can also enjoy wide views of the desert through the large glass windows of the lodge’s main lounge and the spacious veranda next to it. Under the night sky filled with stars, fresh farm-style meals are served by candlelight either in the cozy indoor dining room or on the wide terrace.
Activities at the lodge include quad biking, balloon rides, scenic flights, guided walks, desert horseback riding, and sunset drives. Guests can also choose to relax by the clear pool and enjoy the calm of the open, ancient desert.
